2 - 5 pm. - Kid's Art Mini-Sale
All proceeds went to The Education Fund.
Thank you for coming and buying.
During the art sale everyone was able
to cool out with the legendary
Mo Morgen on Sax, Flute et al
and our own Floyd Coxe
on the piano in the main house.

5pm - 8:30 pm, "A Taste of Ideas"
half hour workshops on such things as emotional freedom technique (EFT)
Laurie Shanks @ 5 pm. EFT is a self-healing system so simple it can easily be learned and used to address both physical and emotional issues. It works. It works wonderfully. And it often works amazingly quickly. Learn the basics of the technique and see a demonstration of the most effective, fastest form Laurie Shank has developed over three years of working with clients.

Fereniki Carpousis @7:30pm

Glenn Terry @5:30pm
Glenn is an art teacher, founder of the Mango Strut and film maker. He says that he is going to do a demonstration on how to make paper masks. However I wouldn't count on it as he may decide to do something entirely different but whatever he does he is sure that you will like it, especially if you drink a lot of wine while you are watching.

Jay Greenbaum @ 6 pm
Jay knows lots about a lot of interesting stuff but his cup runneth over when it comes to cameras. If he is in town, he always comes to our RoundTable and has cameras hanging all over him, and he must be strong because he never stoops over. Jay will talk a bit about digital cameras and then take all of your questions. He does, by the way, have all of the answers.

Midwives panel, Corina Fitch @ 6:30pm

Flower essences & remedies (by Nelson Bach), Alicia Sirkin @ 7 pm

Slow Food, Fereniki Carpousis @7:30 pm
oin Slow Food for some light fare about food and culture!
A screening of Il Bocconcino (The Snack)
A short film that premiered at the recent Food On Film Festival in Bra, Italy

Special entrepreneur program, Jacques Leblanc @ 8pm
An interactive introduction to the The Miami - Dade IT- Entrepreneur Program: a unique workforce/business development program designed to provide young people with the opportunity to learn valuable business start-up and Internet/Web development skills A collaboration between Eyes on the Enterprise and EMIDA Technologies www.emida.net

Nic Ware "Surfing the CIA" @ 8:30pm
Some folks have asked me about Nic Ware. Like what is the book like and since he lives down the street do I see much of him? Well, I have read the book and if the main character "Gus" is autobiographical than Nic/Gus is a hybrid between Jerry Garcia and Henry Miller on some acid trip that began on some California wave and ended in Bali. All of the CIA people in the book are either inert, incompetent or striving to be. As far as his coming by, last week he brought by Bob Marley's brother Richard. That's about as cool as I can handle.

About 9:30 pm. At the piano, Floyd Coxe, Freddy Lopez & others.
At the bar, Open Mike with a group of Spoken Artists & Poets.
Great crowd - thank you for bringing food and drink after 5 pm.
The Ed Fund had staff selling cool drinks and
cookies during the afternoon art sale.

Goombay was on at Grand Ave.
Thank you Bobby Ingram and Craig Lynch for their sound systems once again!
They have been so kind time and time again.

We will be taking the month of June off and then cranking up sometime in July. To be held in our air conditioned gallery at Commodore Inn, the emphasis will be on new films and/or films that did not make the movie theaters. It will be geared for film enthusiasts.
