In June, 2003 I returned to Lewisporte and
was again honored to be in Lewisporte this time to
speak to the Class of 2003. I presented 15
scholarships resulting from our continued
fundraising efforts! Fundraising continues for this
endowed scholarship - Flight 15 Scholarship Fund
which is housed at The Columbus Foundation. (All
photos from my 2002 trip.)
June, 2002 I was honored to be in Lewisporte
to speak to the Class of 2002 and to present 14
scholarships resulting from our fundraising efforts!
Jo Hopkins also presented
all the graduating seniors with her People to People
International American flag pins. |

This was an awesome trip. Jo, Dan and Silvia West and I got to
see icebergs and moose, among many other wonderful things!
Best of all was being able to spend time with our great "Newfie"
friends. |

On
September 11, 2002 and 2003, I was back with those incredible people
of Lewisporte to participate in activities in memory of
all those who suffered so and gave so much on 9/11/01 and
in its aftermath. |

In December 2001 I had the honor
to present to the Lewisporte Fire Department a very special American Flag,
which had been flown over the U.S.
Capitol at the request of Congresswoman
Deborah Pryce of Ohio along with a very touching letter from
her. |
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
The Lewisporte Fire Department had
a plaque made and installed in honor and memory of all the
valiant firemen across the United States. |
